Course Description:
This off-road triathlon features a 400 meter swim course for the sprint triathlon and a 600 meter swim course times 2 for the long course in a beautiful inlet in the Miami Intracoastal Waterway. It is salt water, but it will be flat with no waves to content with. The swim will also be wetsuit legal, but warm enough 70+ to swim without one if you prefer. The Sprint Triathlon will swim 1 lap and the long course will swim 2 laps with a short beach run between each lap. The sprint swims around all of the orange buoys and the Long Course swims around those AND the yellow buoy.

The 15 Km off-road bike course is on South Florida's best off-road trails through natural mangroves. This is a moderately technical course and pre-riding is highly encouraged. The trails will be marked with arrows for weeks before the event for anyone who can get out to the park early. The Sprint Triathlon & Duathlon will ride 1 lap and the Long Course Triathlon will ride 2 laps.

The 5 Km off-road run course features 2 short and 1 long water crossings, plus plenty of technical single track. The Long Course Triathlon will run the same course, plus an additional 5K diversion through some additional great terrain in the middle of the course.

http://www.multirace.com/triathlon/xterra.htm
